Gisella Bustillos is an award-winning Bolivian-Vietnamese writer/director based in and inspired by the Pacific Northwest.

Her first feature documentary, A Brief History of Time Travel premiered at San Diego Comic-Con, won Best Documentary at the Dreamer of Dreams Film Festival and the Philip K Dick Film Festival in 2020, and screened internationally. She has directed and produced short films and is a Firelight Media Regional Lab Fellow.

Gisella likes writing coming-of-age stories about outsiders and the monsters, both real and symbolic, that haunt them.
